Happy Tuesday afternoon Glider Families!

Here are important reminders, deadlines and upcoming events for this week:

1. GCC vs. Fox Den (Away) - Thursday, 6/27/2019 - GCC meet warm-ups will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please have your swimmers at the pool and ready for warm-ups by 5:15pm. Please remember to allow plenty of drive time. Even though Fox Den is close, traffic at that time of day can be challenging, so please plan accordingly. Please also make sure to sign up for your Volunteer Position, if you have not already done so. Fox Den runs 8 lanes, instead of 6, so we will need an additional timer for each half.

2. Meet After-Party - We are planning to go the Culver's (9113 Kingston Pike) for our after party Thursday night. The restaurant is open until 10pm. If the meet runs past 9:30, we will move it to Sonic at Walker Springs Plaza.

3. Meet theme is "America" - Swimmers and parents, please come dressed in Red, White and Blue to celebrate the 4th of July next week!

4. Friday Practice is GAME DAY and DOUGHNUTS - Friday - We will have game day and donuts during practice on Friday morning. 10 and under swimmers from 9:00-10:00am and 11 and ups from 10:00-11:30am. As always, our younger swimmers may stay for the entire time.

5. Putt-Putt Outing following Game Day this Friday - We will be going to play putt-putt Friday after Game Day at noon. Putt-Putt Golf and Games (164 West End Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37934). We had great turn-out last week for bowling and this should be a great outing too! Please consider coming - all age groups are welcome!

6. Smoky Mountain Invitational - July 13 & 14 - The RSVP for the 2019 Smoky Mountain Invitational is approaching VERY quickly. This meet is open to all non-year round swimmers and is held at Springbrook Pool in Maryville. 11 and up swimmers compete on Saturday 7/13 and 10 and unders on Sunday, 7/14. This is a wonderful meet! RSVP DEADLINE FOR SMI is Monday, July 1 at noon. Please make a note in the notes section which events your swimmer would like to compete in. Coach Cameron will do his best to honor all event requests! Absolutely no swimmer additions can be made after this deadline.

7. SMI T-shirt Orders - Deadline 6/30/2019 at 11:59pm - Please use this link to place your order for SMI t-shirts. No shirts will be sold at the meet. They must be preordered using this link: https://smokymountaininvitational2019.itemorder.com/sale.

8. Practice Reminder for Next Week - In honor of the 4th of July holiday, we will not have practice 7/3-7/5. Practice will be held on Monday (morning and evening) and Tuesday only. Enjoy your break!

9. GCC vs. Sugarwood (Away) RSVP Reminder - Please remember to RSVP for next week's meet at Sugarwood. The deadline is Sunday, 7/7 @ 6:00pm. The meet is Tuesday, 7/9 and will begin at 6:00pm.

10. River Rats Tubing Outing - Please save the date for our annual River Rats Tubing Team Outing scheduled for Wednesday, 7/10. We will have this outing in place of Game Day following the Sugarwood meet. Stay tuned for more details!
