Good evening Glider Families!

Here are important reminders, deadlines and upcoming events for this week. We are heading into our busiest time of the year and meeting deadlines is of utmost importance so please make sure to RSVP and order shirts by the deadlines.

1. Gettysvue City Meet Tank Top Orders are DUE tomorrow at noon! We will not order extra shirts. Contact Stacy Mead with your order no later than noon tomorrow! Please see the attachment to this update for a graphic - you WILL want one of these, so make sure to order by noon tomorrow!

2. City Meet RSVPs due by Wednesday, 7/10/2019 at noon! - Please make notes in the notes section if your swimmer has 2 specific individual events they would like to swim. Coach Cameron will do his best to accommodate those requests. GKAISA City Meet T-shirt Orders are also due 7/10/2019 at noon - Please email Sally if you are interested in placing an order. They are $15 each. They are blue short sleeved t-shirts with the standard GKAISA City Meet logo.

3. GCC vs Sugarwood (Away) - Tuesday, 7/9/2019 - GCC meet warm-ups will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please have your swimmers at the pool and ready for warm-ups by 5:15pm. Please remember to allow plenty of drive time. The pool address is: 12137 Butternut Circle, Farragut, TN 37934. Please plan accordingly for possible traffic issues. Please be aware that there is NO PARKING on the neighborhood streets. There is ample parking available around the pool area and surrounding grassy space.

4. Meet After-Party - We are planning to go the Culver's (9113 Kingston Pike) for our after party tomorrow night. The restaurant is open until 10pm. If the meet runs past 9:30, we will move it to Sonic at Walker Springs Plaza.

5. Meet theme is "Crazy Hat/Visor Day" - Swimmers and parents, please come with your craziest hat!

6. Wednesday Practice is Tubing in Townsend, TN at 11am - Instead of our normal game day, we will be going to Townsend, TN for our annual team tubing trip. It takes approximately 42 minutes to get to River Rats from Gettysvue. Please go to https://smokymtnriverrat.com/tubing/ to buy your tickets ahead of arrival. It will save you $2 per person and speed up the process! The address is: 205 Wears Valley Road, Townsend, TN 37882. We will meet there at 11am Wednesday morning.

7. Smoky Mountain Invitational - July 13 & 14 - The 2019 Smoky Mountain Invitational is THIS weekend. Please be on the lookout for more information to come about warm-up times to come later this week. Please remember that 11 and up swimmers compete on Saturday 7/13 and 10 and unders on Sunday 7/14. Be prepared for hot days, but lots of fun times for your swimmers! Darcie will be reaching out to fill our assigned volunteer slots for the meet. They are simple, but very necessary tasks.

8. GCC vs. Gulf Park (Away) RSVP Reminder - Please remember to RSVP for last dual meet of the season next Tuesday at Gulf Park. The deadline is Sunday, 7/14 @ 6:00pm. The meet is Tuesday, 7/16 and will begin at 6:00pm.
