First, being bad cop is not my favorite but here goes. If you have a swimmer in the meet tomorrow, we really need for you to sign up for a job. I am attaching a description of the jobs to help you choose. The only job not on the sheet is scribe. Scribes are paired with a timer and simply record the times. On a happier note the weather for the meet looks great! The rain should move out and leave us with cool comfortable weather. We will appreciate that since I think it is going to be a hike to the pool. 😉

Today in practice we kicked off our first week of stroke specific training. Our focus this week is on Butterfly. I encourage you to make the most of it. At the end of the week your little swimmer might still look closer to a snowplow going through the water than Michael Phelps but if it is a legal stroke that’s progress! Be on the look out for tips and possible links to videos to watch with your kids from Coach Matson. Next week we will focus on breaststroke, followed by backstroke and finally freestyle.
