Social: Putt Putt and Ice Cream

Bring the family and meet your friends for a friendly game of putt putt followed by ice cream. We'll meet at Farragut Golf and Games (164 W End Ave Farragut) at 7pm for a round of golf and then grab ice cream at Brusters (Parkside Dr location). *Please note that these social events are not a drop off event. A parent must accompany your child. Also, these events are not included in your swim team membership, so there will be extra fees incurred. |

Tie Dye Day!

Gettysvue swimmers, join us for a fun tie-dye team bonding event in preparation for City Meet! Monday, July 20th, each age group will be tie-dying shirts after their scheduled practice times. These shirts are to be worn at City Meet to show our team spirit. Who: Any Gettysvue swim team member, especially those going to City Meet What: Tie-dye event When: Monday, July 20th: 8 unders 8:45 AM, 9/10's 9:45 AM, 11 ups 10:45 AM Where: Grass area behind Gettysvue pool Why: Team bonding in preparation for City Meet! Please provide a yellow 100% cotton t-shirt (Hobby Lobby has these for $4.50) that has been washed in detergent ONLY. Label the back collar with your child's name in Sharpie. Put the washed/dried, labeled t-shirt in a gallon Zip-Loc bag with your child's name on the bag. This bag will hold the wet, dyed shirt, so this is critical to bring! Once at home with the wet, dyed shirt, wrap the shirt in Saran Wrap. Then, you will microwave the shirt for 2 minutes. After microwaving, take the shirt and carefully unwrap it. The shirt will be HOT! Place the shirt in a sink and rinse the shirt with cold water until it runs clear. Wash the tie-dyed shirt on a quick cold water cycle. Dry as normal. We will send your child home with a Gettysvue vinyl G. We will send directions on how to iron this on to the front of the shirt once washed/dried! |

Social: 10 and Unders Pasta Party (City Meet)
1111 Gettysvue Way (GCC pool on LOTTS side of Westland)

We will be carbing up for City Meet! Please join us for a pasta and pool party as we get psyched up! Please bring a swim suit, towel, sunscreen, and a meal item to share. Please RSVP with the number of people in your party (the family is welcome). Each dish needs to serve 12 people and please bring serving utensil. Sign up for food in the Jobs section. PLEASE NOTE: NO lifeguard will be on duty. Swim at your OWN RISK. Parents MUST stay and supervise their children the entire time.
